1. Gateway to Growth Programme Facilitation Training

 

Who is it for?
This course is for frontline workers who want to deliver the Gateway to Growth Programme in a one-to-one setting but do not yet have the required knowledge or experience.

Facilitator Requirements:

To facilitate the Gateway to Growth Programme, you must have:

• Experience or training in supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse.

• The ability to assess risk and create individual safety plans.

• Knowledge of local and national domestic abuse support services to provide informed guidance and referrals.

• An understanding of diverse cultural needs and sensitivities.

If you do not yet meet these requirements, our training course will prepare you to:​

• Use the Facilitator Manual and Resource Pack effectively.

• Adapt the programme to individual needs while maintaining structure.

• Handle sensitive topics with empathy and care.

• Perform risk assessments and safety planning.

Outcome:
Participants will gain the confidence and skills to facilitate the Gateway to Growth Programme safely and effectively, empowering individuals to reflect on their experiences, build resilience, and plan for a positive future.

2. Domestic Abuse Awareness Training

 

Who is it for?
This course is for professionals or individuals seeking insight into the dynamics of intimate partner abuse without the intention of facilitating the Gateway to Growth Programme.

​

What you’ll learn:

• An overview of the dynamics of controlling and abusive relationships.

• How to identify warning signs and understand the impact of abuse.

• Key principles for supporting individuals affected by abuse.

• How to signpost individuals to local and national support services.

​

Outcome:
This course provides a foundational understanding of intimate partner abuse, helping participants raise awareness and promote understanding in their professional or personal roles.
